An exciting event for the wine enthusiast, taste award-winning wines alongside the winegrowers and winemakers who made them and see who takes home the prestigious Monticello Cup. Multiple stations of wines paired with heavy hors d’hoeuvres and live entertainment.

Pop, Fizz, Clink: A Sparkling Wine Brunch

The 2nd Annual Monticello AVA Sparkling Brunch features sparkling wines from 5 vineyards. The event features each winemaker pouring and highlighting their wines which are perfectly paired with a farm to table inspired menu.

This new addition to festival 2017 will bring together 5 unique styles of rosé, each paired with a spring inspired dish, and poured by their respective winemaker. A spring menu of soft cheeses, baby vegetables, garden peas, seafood, etc will be super friendly to a spectrum of rosés.

If you know Virginia wine then you’re sure to have heard name Gabriele Rausse. The Italian winemaker has been in the VA industry since the 1970s and is known as the “Father of Virginia Wine”.

Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Tasting Event
700 E Main Street, Charlottesville, Va on the Downtown Mall
The grand finale tasting event at the Sprint Pavilion featuring more than 25 local wineries and live entertainment. Come and try one flight of tastings per winery with the purchase of your ticket. Extra wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle.
An exclusive VIP ticket is available that offers early entry at 12:30, catered food from the C&O Restaurant, and sampling exclusive VIP wines from each winery.
